What data do we collect?
Blue Arca collects the following user data:
- Personal identification information (IP address, e-mail address)
When registering an Blue Arca account, you will be asked to enter your email address and password. With this, your IP address is revealed to us.
When purchasing a license for Blue Arca PhishGuard you will be asked to enter your email address to send your license code to.
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide Blue Arca with most of the data we collect. We collect and process data when you:

How do we store your data?
Blue Arca securely stores your data at a hosting infrastructure provider with security precautions taken that are in line with information security industry standards. Personal information is stored in data centers located in The Netherlands. Data at rest is protected with encryption. All our databases that contain users’ information are configured with encryption. Data in transit is encrypted by TLS/SSL connections.
Blue Arca will keep your account data (e-mail address) for the time period that your user account is active. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data according to our user data deletion policy. Our data retention is 7 days for the backup of data.
How do we protect your data?
A. Our cyber security program
Blue Arca takes security and privacy seriously, and we work together to handle your data responsibly. Our cyber security program is tailored to meet both legal requirements as well as your needs through the following pillars:
- Detailed analysis: we commit to carrying out periodical and independent Cyber Security Assessments to ensure proper security of data, in consultation with regulators where appropriate.
- Security by design: we integrate security by design into our products by integrating it into the software development life cycle.
- Regular training: Blue Arca staff that access and process confidential, sensitive, and personal data are trained on handling it and are bound to maintain its confidentiality, integrity, and security.
B. Security and certifications
Protecting our customers’ information and their users’ privacy is extremely important. We have built security into every layer of the Blue Arca products following the internationally recognized NIST Cyber Security Framework. We devoted significant resources to comply with this standard. This standard mirrors security requirements and gives our customers a transparent framework to measure our software development and data management practices.
C. Incident management
Though rare, data incidents may happen. We will assist our customers with notifying regulators of breaches and promptly communicating any breaches to customers and users.
D. International data transfers
As a company with a global customer base and operations, Blue Arca must be able to transfer and access data around the world. We understand and respect the rules for onward transfers of personal data.
An external PCI-compliant payment gateway handles all Credit Card transactions. All financial transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Blue Arca would like to send you information about our products and services that we think you might like.
You have the right at any time to stop Blue Arca from contacting you for marketing purposes.
What are your data protection rights?
Blue Arca would like to ensure you are fully aware of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
